Poundland is launching their first TV advert as part of a Christmas 2015 campaign, however broadcast will be limited to Yorkshire and Tyne Tees, and won’t feature a specific PR element.

The thirty second advertisement depicts a home of a Poundland shopper, showing the retailers Christmas gifts, decorations and confectionery lines.

The advert will debut on the 19 November till 19December and will be featured on Facebook, YouTube as well as Poundlands own website, it will also be featured during Coronation Street.

Poundland adverts will feature a series of ten second videos that will showcase Poundland’s range of items, from licensed gifting line to make up gallery cosmetic collection.

The TV campaign follows the recent growth of Poundland, who earlier this year was given the green light to purchase the 99p store.

Poundland spokeswoman has addressed the limitation of broadcast areas, and said that the company were addressing regions with the most stores.

She added:  "As a regional campaign for the Yorkshire and Tyne Tees areas, we do not want to exclude our consumers across the UK with a national [PR] campaign directly relating to the advert. We continue to push our amazing value Christmas lines throughout consumer press following our fantastic Christmas in July event earlier in the year."
